Position Details: Department: Marine Operations Location: Pipavav Shipyard, Gujarat Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent / On-Site Benefits: Food and Accommodation provided by the company at site Profile: Maya Marine & Logistics is seeking highly skilled and experienced Marine Welders with proven experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication, naval refit, and marine maintenance projects. The candidate must possess valid welding certifications, Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) or Welder Qualification Test (WQT)and hands-on expertise in 6G Welding, SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and MIG/GMAW (Metal Inert Gas Welding) processes. Experience working onboard vessels, in dry docks, engine rooms, ballast tanks, confined spaces, and marine fabrication environments is mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Marine Welder in shipyards, offshore projects, naval refit, or vessel repair activities. Valid certification in: 6G Welding SMAW Welding MIG/GMAW Welding Ability to weld in multiple positions including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 6G. Experience in marine structural and piping welding. Knowledge of welding safety practices, welding symbols, and marine fabrication standards. Perform SMAW and MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and marine-grade materials. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, isometric drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Ensure welds meet marine classification and project quality requirements. Assist QA/QC inspectors during visual inspections, NDT activities, and welding qualification tests. Operate, maintain, and inspect welding equipment and accessories. Support emergency repairs, retrofit works
