Heil, CEO, ZF Marine Group and General Manager of ZF Padova SpA The ZF-Marine Group is the Marine Products Division of the Friedrichshafen based automotive components supplier, ZF Friedrichshafen AG and produces marine transmissions in its plants in Padua and Arco (Italy), Friedrichshafen (Germany), Sens (France) and Sao Paulo (Brazil). In addition, the Group supplies complete propulsion systems for FPP, CPP and surface-drive installations through the newly formed ZF-Faster Propulsion System, ZF Marine Technic and ZF-Trimax companies. ZF Marine also has a licencing agreement with France Helices to manufacturer and market the SDS surface drive. The power range covers 5 to 8,200 kW for pleasure/high-speed craft application and up to approx. 7,500 kW for work-boats and cargo vessels. All gears can be supplied with classification approval. Transmissions, both Single- and 2-Speed, are available in various configurations for all types of craft ranging from high performance naval vessels, fast ferries, luxury motoryachts and sailing boats, to heavy duty gears for fishing boats, tugs etc. Propulsion control systems are produced at ZF Mathers LLC, Burlington U.S.A.
