For over 15 years and on over 800 projects, CSTI engineers and consultants have solved noise and vibration problems on offshore platforms, vessels, and marine facilities including facilities in the North Sea, off Newfoundland, Off Nigeria, in the Persian Gulf and in the Gulf of Mexico. We have recently performed a flare vibration analysis using the Marine Technology Directorate Guidelines. We have conducted studies for ships including the GECO Marlin, Fugro Explorer, C.R. Luigs, and the Dickerson Tide and Jonathan Chouest (PGS Ocean Bottom Seismic Ships). Our experience includes sound measurements, vibration measurements, analysis of sound measurements, airborne sound modeling, vibration modeling using statistical energy analysis, vibration transmission through hull structures, comparison of sound and vibration levels with criteria, and design of treatments to meet habitability criteria.
