GPCM is used to evaluate the market effects of new or modified natural gas infrastructure as well as alternative supply and demand scenarios. GPCM consists of detailed models of pipelines, storage facilities, and LNG import facilities in North America. The user can specifiy changes to capacity and / or cost of this infrastructure. The user can also specify different options for supply growth or decline and for drivers of demand such as weather, economic growth rates, and prices of alternative fuels to natural gas. GPCM will then compute a forecast of prices, utilization of pipeline and storage infrastructure, and the supply demand balance resulting from the user's assumptions.
