Top Drive Drilling Systems Full-featured electric and hydraulic portable top drives ranging from 250 to 650 ton and 450 to 1350 horsepower. Torque and speed can be customized using optional gear ratios and power unit selection. Casing Drilling Process Tesco’s patented casing drilling process allows a well to be drilled with conventional oilwell casing, eliminating the use of drill pipe or drill collars, and thus eliminating the time spent tripping pipe. Timesaving of 30% and more are experienced as wells are drilled and cased simultaneously. This same technology can be used in the Casing Assist Running System (CARS) mode on conventionally drilled wells where there is difficulty getting casing to bottom. Casing Running Service Developed from its proven Casing Drilling technology, Tesco’s Casing Running Service brings all the advantages of top drive drilling (continuous rotation, circulation and reciprocation of the casing) to the casing running process on conventionally drilled wells. By eliminating heavy elevators, power tongs, stabbing boards, and fill-up lines, Tesco’s Casing Running Service increases safety and efficiency during the casing running process. Rig Floor Snubbing Systems Tesco’s Pipe Push/Pull Machine (PPM) is designed to snub tubulars in live well applications including underbalanced drilling and well completions, without killing the well. The PPM is also used to significantly improve ROP during the slide drilling intervals of shallow TVD extended reach horizontal wells.
