The Oceanscience Group was founded by Dr. Ron George in 1998 to provide cost-effective platforms for deploying acoustic Doppler current profilers in a wide variety of applications. Since then, Oceanscience has grown to offer the largest array anywhere of both fresh- and saltwater deployment equipment for Doppler profilers. Products include bottom platforms (the popular Sea Spider tripod and Barnacle trawl-resistant mount), subsurface floats (deep-water, low-drag, and inexpensive shallow-water styles), dedicated surface buoys, tethered boats and remotely controlled boats. Oceanscience also manufactures and sells surface buoys, buoy equipment and programmable subsurface water samplers.
