The aim of the site is :- 1. To build a database of past and present vessel’s names from around the world, the database so far contains over 300,000 vessel’s names and must be the biggest non-corporate one in the world. 2.To have a facility which allows mariners past and present to leave their details against vessels of their choice and for a small fee to send e-mails to fellow mariners. 3. To design a website with pages suitable for mariners and to allow them to contribute to the website. 4. To build up a genealogical database of vessels.
