Maritime and Environmental Consultants (MEC) was founded in 1996 in the New Orleans, LA area by Ronald R. Borison. Ron, a 1974 US Coast Guard Academy graduate, retired from the Coast Guard, after serving 22 years in the Marine Safety and Environmental Protection field. Tours of duty included numerous marine safety field offices as well as Coast Guard Headquarters. MEC has an extensive network of contacts both in government and industry. Located close to downtown New Orleans, LA, MEC is close to the heart of offshore activity in the Gulf of Mexico. MEC has as its goal to provide superb value to its customers.
