Nova Group, Inc. is a general engineering contractor with its home office and fabrication facility in Napa, California. The Napa location is favorably positioned near three major airports that allow aggressive management and support of construction operations that at times have spanned from Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean to the middle-east nation of Israel. The vastness of our operational vision geographically allows us to support our vertical niche federal markets installing hydrant fueling systems for the Air Force and National Guard on air bases under contract either with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command or the Corps of Engineers, and constructing wharves and piers for the Navy and Coast Guard. When we do venture overseas, it is always for a U.S. Department of Defense client that has procured our services and expertise for a U.S. funded project abroad. Nova's resume of outstanding, quality, and safe projects in our niche markets is without equal. Nova also participates in several project delivery methodologies including: * Requests for proposals * Design/bid/build * Invitations to bid * Design/build * Indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), and Joint ventures with select strategic partners * Private, negotiated. Nova has acquired a state of the art hydraulic dredging fleet to both complement our waterfront operations and to provide environmentally sound maintenance dredging services. Nova has also found commercial applications for its expertise participating in commercial airport, energy and waterfront activities.

Nova Group, Inc. was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in Napa, California. Our legacy began with building steam lines at the now defunct Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California. During the late 1970's, Nova expanded its expertise in mechanical construction at several Bay Area military bases by installing hundreds of thousands of feet of steam and condensate piping, performing marine construction including cofferdams, drydock upgrades and wharf construction, and installing high voltage power distribution systems, transformers and switchgear, and emergency power generation facilities. In the early to mid 1980's, two important events occurred that helped to grow Nova's capabilities and our company. First, Nova expanded its workforces further West to Hawaii after the award of several new contracts for the U.S. Navy on Oahu. Hawaii provided a tremendous opportunity for extensive mechanical and utility construction projects, and soon Nova would establish itself as a respectable contractor from the mainland. To this day we continue to build projects in the Pacific Rim, including Hawaii, Guam, and Diego Garcia. Nova's Mission Statement: To be continuously recognized for using innovation to construct quality projects that exceed customers' expectations, safely and profitably in a manner that rewards teamwork. Another significant event which occurred was that Nova received ASME and government agency certifications to manufacture pre-insulated piping systems. To date, Nova has engineered, manufactured and installed over one million feet of Class A steam and condensate piping systems. In later years, Nova's 50,000 square foot fabrication facility in Napa was certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction as an "AISC" facility, which confirms we have the personnel, organization, experience, capability, and commitment necessary to fabricate structural steel for complex steel buildings and simple steel bridges. By the 1990's, Nova was also building hydrant fueling systems in addition to its extensive marine construction expertise. The first fuel systems installed by Nova were at locations throughout the United States including Bay Area military bases to various locations on the East Coast and Midwest. Currently, Nova employs over 300 construction professionals worldwide, and has annual revenues approaching $100 million.
