In the late sixties Hamworthy Svanehøj A/S introduced a range of long-shaft, multi-stage, deepwell pumps with explosion-proof electric motor drive for a "one pump per tank" concept. This was the start of up till now more than a quarter of a century as one of the leading suppliers of cargo pumps for a great number of tankers of various sizes and types built for the global tanker fleet owners. During this period great efforts have been made for constant development in close co-operation with the users and regulating bodies in order to be able to meet the ever-changing requirements in respect of flexibility, safety, and reliability. The Svanehøj range of deepwell pumps includes designs for: • Product tankers • Chemical tankers • LPG, ethylene, ammonia, and ethylene/chemical tankers • Molten sulphur tankers • Coastal tankers • Barges and is supplemented by a range of booster pumps, tank wash pumps, ballast pumps, and portable pumps forming together with ex-proof electric motors and related control equipment a complete cargo pump package, all backed up by our experienced team of engineers and service personnel.
