Based in Saint-Nazaire, the dynamic ship-building town and the fourth largest French port, Saint-Nazaire Naval Repairs - R2N or Réparation Navale Nazairienne has become the fifth ship-repair yard in France. R2N, which is part of the Marine Propulsion Group, was created in 1994 and currently employs 85 people. The enterprise takes on both emergency works and refits schedulded by ship operators. The company is also involved in industrial maintenance. Night and day R2N intervenes on ships, either in the four dry docks, or afloat in France and overseas. Its wide ranging facilities enable it to deal with the most complex or urgent orders. R2N is divided into three complementary workshops: In the first workshop even the most demanding repairs on ships engines are undertaken and the "flying-squad" of technicians service or overhaul on site your ships' marine diesel engines (Pielstick, MAN etc...). The second workshop deals with all types of hull repairs along with piping and conduit modifications. We weld steel, aluminium and stainless steel. Finally, the machining workshop is fully equipped for turning, honing and milling and can produce large scale parts like propeller shafts, rudders and engine components.
