The parent company, INTERORIENT NAVIGATION COMPANY LIMITED ("INC") was incorporated in Cyprus and commenced trading in 1979. The principal activity of INC is the provision of all kinds of shipmanagement services. Since 1979, INC has developed into one of the leading shipmanagement companies in Cyprus with currently about 150 shore-based employees and about 2.000 well-trained and experienced seamen on board. Following a reorganization, INTERORIENT NAVIGATION COMPANY LIMITED is acting as the parent company of the INC Group of Companies since 1st July 2000. The Group is engaged in a wide range of activities within shipping industry, in particular in: Shipmanagement Shipowning Container feeder services Shipping and forwarding agency Travel agency Consultancy and other services. INC has presently 38 vessels under full management, which includes technical and crew management, rendering chartering, operational and sale and purchase services, arranging for insurance covers and providing accounting services, including monitoring of agreed operating budgets and cash flow control. The full management fleet consists of container ships ranging from 300 TEU up to 2.900 TEU capacity, multi-purpose/Lo-Ro vessel, Ro-Ro vessels, timber carries, passenger ferries, submersible dock vessel, as well as of modern double hull product tankers of 28.610 dwt up to 37.000 dwt. Crewing services are currently provided to a fleet of some 100 vessels. The Company has successfully passed office audits and on board inspections for its office and shipboard procedures and QA system for the product tanker fleet, and has obtained approvals from various major oil companies for the tankers and management. INC has been successfully audited in accordance to ISMA, ISO 9002 standards, and also to the ISM Code. The Quality Manager implements, maintains and controls the requirements of the ISMA and ISM Codes, supported by the Marine Department.
