COMPANY PROFILE Intermodal Shipbrokers Co. was established in Piraeus in January 1985, by its sole founder Captain Kyriakos Dermatis, in order to operate as a Sale and Purchase Brokerage. Intermodal Shipbrokers Co. is concentrated on S+P of all ship types, i.e. Chemical Tankers, Container Ships, Passenger Ships, RoRo, RoPax, Reefers, Offshore Units, Newbuilding Projects, Long Term Charters, Bare Boat Charters, Consultancy and Financing, as well as, Exclusive Yards Representation through our affiliated company "Interyards S.A." and Representation of The Strike Club as Official Agents. Thanks to the experience and qualified team of our shipbrokers, we succeeded in establishing close business relationship with national and international Shipbrokers, Shipowners, Shipyards and Financial Institutions, thus obtaining a progressive recognition as a leading shipbroking company, not only in Greece but worldwide. SALE & PURCHASE OF SECOND–HAND SHIPS Intermodal Shipbrokers Co. has a team of highly educated and experienced shipbrokers who can handle with full competence any Sale and Purchase transaction of second hand ships. Although ISC is specialized in Bulk Carriers, Tankers, Chemicals, RoPax, Offshore Units, is capable to handle with similar competence, all the types of ships listed below: LPG and LNG Cruise Ships High speed catamarans and monohulls Ro-Ro Reefers Container and multipurpose ships Yachts and pleasure boats Special units Fishing vessels Demolition In addition to straight sales or purchases of second hand ships, we have accomplished several deals with Time Charter or Bare Boat Charter attached with purchase option or purchase obligatory. and involved in New Building Re-sales of Chemical Tankers. Being Evaluators for certain Banks, Financial Institutions, Ship Owners and Insurance Companies, our S+P department can provide official Ship Evaluations, Sale and Purchase Reports, Market Analyses and any other shipping information for the last 15 years. NEW BUILDING The New Building Department currently is headed by Mr Kyriakos Dermatis, a Marine Master with vast experience in Marketing of shipyards, New Building orders, Repairs and Conversions. We have successfully concluded an order of two RoPax in a Norwegian Shipyard (FOSEN MEK. VERKSTEDER AS) and delivered to owners. Presently, we have signed contract with Chinese Shipyards for 4+4 bunkering tankers which are under construction. Today we are in the position not only in proposing the best new building opportunities available in the market, but to attend the whole procedure of our client's Investment Project, from the first stage of the investigation through the delivery of the vessel. To ensure top technical services, ISC is closely co-operating with the most experienced Technical Bureau in Greece, "GAINS Inc" (headed by Mr George Doulgerakis), who is spesialized in technical supervision from day one until ships' delivery. GAINS Inc has a proved record of technical supervision for more than 40 new building ships, which were successfully delivered to their owners from various shipyards worldwide. In addition, thanks to our long established collaboration with major shipping Banks, Financial Institutions and Charterers, we are able to secure for our clients financing with attractive payment schemes and long term employment including Bare Boat arrangements. TANKER CHARTERING The Tanker Department is specialized in Long Term Chartering and Bare Boat Chartering of small and medium size Tankers carrying: Vegoil Easy chemicals Petroleum products (clean and dirty) We have 8 small size Tankers under Time Charter to different charterers running for the last years under T/C with annual renewals. THE STRIKE CLUB Since January 1994, we are the Official Agents in Greece for the Shipowners Mutual Strike and Delay Insurance Association. The Strike Club, formed in 1957 in Monte Carlo, Monaco, offers protection to shipowners, charterers and shipbuilders against losses incurred through strikes, withdrawal of labour and in general various time delays in all world ports at the most competitive premiums. SHIPYARDS’ AGENTS Intermodal Shipbrokers Co. was the Exclusive Agent in Greece for the Spanish Shipyard "FACTORIA CADIZ" for repairs and conversions since 1990 and the Official Agent for several shipyards worldwide. However, after the recent merging of Spanish Shipyards and re-organization under the new name "IZAR", ISC in co-operation with the other Spanish yards representatives (TECHNOMECHANICS SA) created a joint venture company named "INTERYARDS SA" to represent exclusively in Greece all Spanish Shipyards under the name "IZAR", as far as repairs and conversions are concerned.
