AN OVERVIEW Sea Tow Services of the Palm Beaches Inc., a professional marine towing and salvage company, has been in business since 1985. The owners and personnel bring with them a wealth of combined experience. Sea Tow Services of the Palm Beaches operates 24 hrs. a day, seven days a week. The company maintains five towing and salvage vessels which are strategically positioned at the four Palm Beach County inlets. The main office is located in Riviera Beach, FL. Sea Tow has salvage/tow vessels throughout Palm Beach County , including the 32' vessel "SENECA", the 22' RIB rescue vessel "APACHE", 26' Goldline “CHEYENNE” and other quick response vessels located strategically covering the Jupiter, Lake Worth, Boynton and Boca Inlets. The 26' salvage/towing vessel "CHEYENNE" is located at Jonathan’s Landing Marina and responds to the northern most areas of the county including the Loxahatchee River as well as the dangerous Jupiter inlet. Sea Tow maintains a second base station and a secure fenced storage yard in the mid county area, at the Palm Beach Yacht Center, Federal Highway. in Hypoluxo. One salvage/towing vessel is positioned at the P.B.Y.C.'s marina location. The southern most location is at Pennell’s’s Marina located on the Hillsboro canal in Deerfield Beach. Sea Tow maintains a (RIB) salvage/towing vessel at that location which patrols the Boca Raton inlet and south county waters. These two Sea Tow vessels cover the south end of Palm Beach County from the Lake Worth Pier to the Deerfield Beach Pier and the Intracoastal Waterway from Lake Worth to Deerfield Beach. An ongoing training program and experienced personnel, enables Sea Tow Services of the Palm Beaches to handle a magnitude of marine disasters. Well disciplined crews, dedicated to the pursuit of successful rescue of lives and yachts, come from a solid background in the marine industry. Presently Sea Tow Services of the Palm Beaches employees 10 full time U.S.C.G. licensed captains. All the captains are trained in search and rescue missions, radio operations, and emergency procedures. The Salvage Master, Captain Richard Beck, has more than 20 years experience in the marine salvage field, and has been responsible for more than 200 high order salvage missions. All of the Sea Tow vessels are fully licensed and insured with hull, P&I, and tower's liability insurance. Since 1985, Sea Tow Services of the Palm Beaches has rendered assistance to thousands of disabled vessels and has earned a reputation as being a dependable, reliable leader in the towing and salvage industry. All of the Captains are trained and state certified in oil spill containment and cleanup procedures, and most are qualified scuba divers. All employees are also drug tested as per Coast Guard regulations. The Company maintains three overland quick response units. These units consist of a 20' X 8' enclosed salvage trailer & 2 fully equipped heavy duty 4/4 on & off road vehicles and a 26' fast response salvage tow vessel on a trailer. This unit enables rapid response anywhere in the country as was demonstrated after hurricanes Andrew and Opal struck the Florida coast. Also after two barges and one tanker collided in Tampa Bay causing a major oil spill, Sea Tow Palm Beach was mobilized and on the scene within hours. Sea Tow is also licensed by Sea Spill to provide oil spill containment and clean up services. Sea Spill Palm Beach has one hour response contracts with over 35 marinas and fuel bunkering companies in Palm Beach County and is rated by the State of Florida as a Category 1 Discharge Organization. Some of the insurance companies that Sea Tow Palm Beach routinely assists are: Aetna, N.B.O.A., Prudential, Reliance, Allstate, Ocean Underwriters, State Farm, Cigna Nationwide, Continental, Travelers, Avemco and others. In many instances the insurance companies contact Sea Tow directly.
