The Shreyas Shipping Limited was incorporated in the year 1988 as a Private Limited Company and was later converted into a Public Limited Company in 1994. The company was promoted by R. Sivaswamy & family, promoter of the Transworld group of companies. The company provides container feeder services between Mumbai/ JNPT and United Arab Emirates ports. The company owns a fleet of 7 container vessels. The turnover of Shreyas Shipping for FY1999-2000 was Rs. 1,063.5 million. Future plan The future plan of the company is to provide coastal feeder service and domestic movements along the coastline.

ORIENT TRIUMPH as part of their equity participation in the project. This vessel was registered in India on 27th January 1994 and is since in employment. This vessel has now been renamed MV ORIENT PROSPERITY. Presently the Company has 6 ships all around. Began operations in 1993 in response to economic liberalization measures permitting entry of private companies into shipping. In January 1994 converted into a Public Limited Company with an authorized capital of Rs. 38 crores. First and the only private sector container feeder operator in India. Providing container feeder services to Indian national and international main liners through all major Indian ports. First Indian shipping company to successfully bid for a berth under the Berth Reservation Scheme at the Mumbai Port against competition from Global Operators. Serves as a link to various Indian ports to major container transshipment terminals around the subcontinent where larger vessels of the main lines are to call.
