Equitable Shipyards Inc. was a New Orleans shipbuilder founded in 1921 as Equitable Equipment Company by Neville Levy, which acquired the former Higgins Industries yard on the Industrial Canal in 1966 and built ferries, workboats, and government vessels until ceasing operations in the 1990s.
