Liftech Consultants Inc. is a consulting engineering firm with special expertise in dockside container handling cranes and other complex structures. Our experience includes structural design for wharf structures, buildings, container yard structures, and container handling equipment. Clients, domestic and international, include owners, engineers, operators, manufacturers, and riggers. The original RTG frame structures and the standard A-frame, modified A-frame, and low profile cranes which we developed for Paceco have become the container crane industry standard. Liftech's experience with seismic design and assessment includes evaluation and design of buildings, container cranes, and wharf structures. After the Guam and Kobe earthquakes, Liftech evaluated crane and wharf structures and helped owners secure their equipment and determine the future of their structures. Liftech provided the design reconstruction of a portion of the wharf at Guam. Liftech helps owners with the purchase of container cranes. We have provided procurement assistance services for over 50 cranes in the last three years. Our services include specification preparation, bid evaluation, design review, quality assurance audits, and fabrication inspection. We tailor the program to fit the needs of the clients. Liftech helps clients with crane equipment assessment, crane purchases, modifications, and repairs. Liftech is occasionally retained as expert witness to assess crane accidents, to evaluate repair estimates, and to help resolve disputes. Liftech produces economical and functional designs.
