Swedia Shipping AB is a modern, family owned shipping company on Donsö with two vessels and about 50 employees. The company sterns from a longstanding tradition of shipping which has been found for generations. Parts of the company arise from the former Vingatank Rederi AB. Loyalty is a key word for Swedia, primarily directed toward the customers who are guaranteed safe and flexible transports with the best service and first-class tonnage. Loyalty is also a key word in regards to our employees. Swedia is a small scale company which has the nearness and the ability to affect words and deeds within the company, thereby creating a climate characterised by responsibility and pleasure. The Company is actively involved in all policies and issues for it's personnel and strives to attain the lowest turnover as possible which in the long-term gives maximal safety in transport. Commitment, knowledge of Shipping and a close cooperation with the costumers are guiding lights of our company. The company is certified according to the ISM-code. Business concept: Well-managed vessels and a competent crew are a necessity for safely and effectively transports of oil and other petroleum-products. Swedia strives to attain confidence and cooperation with it's customers and at the same time provide the best working conditions for it's crew on board. Owners: Swedia Rederi AB is owned by Ewa Hansson (Managing Director), Per Hansson (Technical Manager/Master Mariner) and Christian Johansson (Chartering Manager). Fleet: Our product-tankers Vingatank(4.320 dwt), Vinga Helena and Vinga Matilda (both 6.400 dwt) operate in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, mainly with petroleum-products. The vessels are combined product- and chemical-tankers that also has the ability to load refined products and chemicals. All, very modern vessels with double-hull. As from our pressrelease 10 July 2001 (click on "New vessel"), Vingatank is a newbuilt vessel to be delivered in May 2002 from Turkey. Details under "picture gallery" and "vessels". Chartering: The vessels are chartered through the Swedia Shipping chartering department (Vingatank, Smaragd and Charisma) and Nordtank Shipping A/S (Vinga Helena, Vinga Matilda).
