European South Atlantic Line (ESAL) HR Services operates its own shipping line under the brand name ESAL linking the UK and Northern Europe with Ascension Island, the Falkland Islands, Brazil, Cape Verde Islands and North Africa. A flexible chartered fleet of geared vessels (around 10,000 DWT) enables ESAL to carry both container and break bulk cargoes. Sixteen years of operating in the hostile waters of the South Atlantic achieving unrivalled punctuality enables us to offer shippers and importers a reliable alternative to other less dedicated carriers. Project cargoes feature prominently in the ESAL portfolio. Heavy lifts are routinely carried on ESAL vessels, closely supervised by ESAL’s team of in-house Master Mariners. The recent oil exploration in the South Atlantic posed several challenges for ESAL, all of which were successfully met. Casablanca and Agadir are ESAL’s regular North African ports of call. The reliability of the ESAL schedule enables shippers to plan production and reduce costs, an important factor in today’s competitive markets.
