Copenhagen Tankers was formed as exclusive agents for Wonsild Liquid Carriers Ltd., of Monrovia with all chartering done from the office of Wonsild & Son in Copenhagen. 1995 Copenhagen Tankers move to own premises in Copenhagen due rapid activities, and necessary space to accommodate new employees. 1998 For further expansion and to strengthen the position of the company, a joint venture between Knud I. Larsen and Copenhagen Tankers was made. Knud I. Larsen acquired shares in Copenhagen Tankers A/S and CT took over all marketing and operations of the entire Knud I. Larsen tanker fleet, as well as their chartering and operational personnel. 1999 Copenhagen Tankers decides to relocate to new and more suitable headquarters in Gentofte - an all new “Shipping House”, which also accommodate KIL Shipping and Tschudi & Eitzen. 2000 Copenhagen Tankers Inc., in USA and Copenhagen Tankers Pte Ltd, in Singapore are established in recognition of the ever rising demands of our customers for World Wide and round the clock coverage. 2001 January - Tschudi & Eitzen Holding A/S acquires KiL Shipping A/S, and by that also their tanker fleet and their shares in Copenhagen Tankers A/S. We see it as strengthening of our position for the future and the development of further activities. August - The Clipper Group acquires shares in Copenhagen Tankers A/S, which now has Wonsild & Son A/S, Tschudi & Eitzen and the Clipper Groups as main shareholders. Copenhagen Tankers A/S acquires from the Armada group Parcel Tankers Services Inc., Connecticut, USA and Parcel Tankers Services de Colombia y Cia Ltda., Bogota, Colombia and thus further strengthen its world-wide presence and services in and out of the Americas.
