For general freight products, consumer goods and regulated commodities, Seaspan Coastal Intermodal Company provides a daily, scheduled truck and trailer ferry service between our conveniently located terminals on the Mainland at Tilbury in Delta, and on Vancouver Island at downtown Nanaimo and Victoria (Swartz Bay).

Our service is based on the drop trailer concept, negating the need for tractor and driver to accompany the trailer during transit to or from Vancouver Island, while still having limited accommodation provisions for the commercial driver. Based in Delta, British Columbia, Seaspan Coastal Intermodal Company is a subsidiary of Seaspan International Ltd. and part of the Washington Marine Group. Between our terminals, using our fleet of vessels, SCIC provides daily scheduled sailings to deliver trailers and containers for our trucking and distribution customers and rail cars for the Nanaimo-based E&N Railway. Seaspan Coastal Intermodal operates four (4) roll on, roll off, self-propelled ferries and two (2) articulated tug and barge units specially designed and built for this service. Seaspan Coastal Intermodal's terminals are managed to meet the needs of our customers and operate with dedicated personnel committed to the highest level of professionalism.
