Stevens Towing Co., Inc., is a mid-size tug and barge transportation company based in Yonges Island, South Carolina. Stevens has been in business since 1913 and engages in inland, coastwise and ocean towing. We have experienced operators, and a complete fleet of tugs and barges for all freight, cargo and construction operations. We are extremely flexible and can specialize in: project cargoes, heavy lift cargoes, heavy hauling, inland and ocean towing, international ocean movements, oversized cargo, Ro/Ro transport, deck barges, hopper barges, turn key intermodal projects, and heavy lift cranes. Currently our business covers the East and West coasts of North, Central and South America including the Caribbean.

Stevens Towing Co., Inc., is a midsize barge transportation company based in Yonges Island, South Carolina, just south of Charleston. Stevens has been in business since 1913, originally engaged in moving produce and passengers from local barrier islands to the Charleston market. Today Stevens engages in inland, coastwise and ocean towing. We have experienced operators, and a complete fleet of tugs and barges for all freight/construction operations. We are extremely flexible and can offer assistance in: project cargoes, heavy lift cargoes, heavy hauling, inland and ocean towing, ocean freight, Ro/Ro transport, deck barges, hopper barges, and heavy lift cranes. Currently our business lies on the East Coast and Gulf Coast inland waterways, coastwise US including the West Coast, and international ocean movements to the Caribbean and South America. Most of our business comes from the Southeastern United States including, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. We have performed many moves in the Northeast, and we are experienced in inland gulf moves, including the states of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. Our shipyard is a full service yard, which can accomplish complete marine repair, boat repair, barge repair, barge building, and dredge equipment repair. The shipyard has three marine railways, which allow for great flexibility and superior drydock availability. Stevens has become active in reef building projects. Stevens has deployed barge, vessels, military armored vehicles, concrete bridge rubble, and specially designed reef units. We have designed a concrete reef cone for the construction of artificial reefs on any site.
