Incorporated in Texas in 1992, Alliance Marine Services (AMS) was established as an independent organization, offering customized marine services to the U.S. maritime and offshore industries. AMS obtained the Document of Compliance in respect of IMO requirements for the safe operation of ships (the ISM code) from Lloyd’s Register in `98. John Lovell, President and Owner of the company, has over thirty years experience in the shipping industry both as an Owner and Ship Manager. He has worked as a seagoing officer in the British merchant service, as well as ashore with Fred Olsen in London, and Denholm Ship Management in Glasgow and Houston. Mr. Lovell has assembled a team of professionals at AMS that combines sea-going experience with an extensive knowledge of technical and commercial management of ships. Our mission is to assist marine and offshore companies in ongoing efforts to minimize costs, increase production and promote safe, trouble free operations. We offer complete marine support services, which includes the manning, technical, insurance and other management functions of Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels and tankers and vessel operations for oil majors, offshore operators, ship owners and other parties responsible for ships. AMS provides its full range of services from offices in Houston, Texas and has additional technical support staff in the United Kingdom. In addition, we employ our own Crew Manager in Manila. Our clients require the commitment and dedication to customer service typical of a small service company, as well as the full service options that are often available with larger companies. To meet these customer requirements, we have established strong working alliances with several other industry-leading companies that specialize in various shipping industry arenas. Included in our network of industry contacts is our association with recruiting agencies located in the UK, Philippines and Poland. We work with these companies for the provision of capable and competent British, Polish and Filipino officers and crew. Other companies found in our network of alliances include suppliers, repairers, financial, insurance and commercial entities. By using these alliances, a truly custom-designed service package can be put together for full service FPSO management, ship management, specific marine support services or the management of marine projects.
