PREVIFOR CONSULTORES, S.L. (Spain) was set up in 1999 and is engaged in the training of operators to promote safety in the workplace. In order to meet the aforementioned objective, we develop our activities in two directions: * Basic training of workers by means of conventional systems, given by specialists in the Prevention of Accidents in the Workplace. * Development of virtual reality simulators of industrial machinery (forklift and crane) for the Prevention of Accidents in the Workplace.
Why a gantry crane simulator? * The aim of this simulator is to include in the training programme so that operators can be trained more efficiently, without posing a danger to persons and machines as a consequence of their mistakes. * This simulator allows training to be done irrespective of the availability of the real machine. * The costs of training with this simulator are much lower than sessions with a real machine and its service life is not reduced due to handling by inexperienced operators. * This simulator allows the crane to be handled in real time, with the same control panel, in the same working position and with the same movements. In addition, it allows work accidents to be reproduced with damage to persons, loads and other items in the factory or warehouse.
