PortCost let you calculate exact port costs for a ships proposed port call, or exact portcosts for an actual port call. Port Cost is available on the Internet.

PortCost is a service provided on the Internet. PortCost let you calculate the port costs incurred or expected for a port call. The port costs calculated or estimated are based on the ports tariffs and the ships actual tonnages and dimensions. The PortCost service is coupled to the Lloyds Register Fairplay Internet Ships Register which give the users which subscribe to the Internet Ships Register an opportunity to search for ships in the register and transfere ships data directly to PortCost. The main use of PortCost is to make an estimate of expected port costs for a call at a certain port, and to calculate the exact port costs incurred for a specific port call. The latter can be used as a reference for disbursement control, and as input to the financial reports. Using PortCost will greatly improve the accuracy of the financial reports as the costs may be calculated as soon as the ship has left the port, while it may take weeks or months before the disbursement arrives.
