Mauritius Office is Galana Group's Head Office. Mission statement : 'The establishment of the first independent fully integrated oil group in Eastern Africa and the Indian Ocean region, run by oil professionals from the region and committed to the highest standards of excellence, safety and protection of the environment.

The Galana Group of Companies was created in 1991 to develop the first independent oil group on Eastern Africa. Over the last seven years the group has made major strides in achieving its original objectives of providing excellent service to its clientele. Its principal business is international crude oil and products trading, refining, inter-regional trade within the Eastern Africa region, supply of fuel to power generation plants, lubricants marketing and development of retail network of service stations. The Galana Group holds the license for the Gulf Trade Mark in East and Central Africa as well as the rights to manufacture and market Gulf lubricants. In view of its logical expansion, Galana Group has taken over the refinery of Madagascar in the port of Tamatave last year. The Group is in strategic association with the Petroleum India International (PII) Group for the development of terminals, refining, exploration and production of crude oil.
