ACM Shipping Ltd was founded in the Spring of 1982. The Directors responsible for the launch and the initial development of the Company were Keith Amato, Simon Clough , Andrew Morton and John Plumbe. All four were experienced brokers and directors of leading London Tanker Broking Companies before starting ACM. The Company fast developed into one of London's major broking houses, and, over the past decade, has continued to expand steadily. Today ACM is proud to enjoy successful business relationships with all the leading shipowners and oil companies around the world.

The Company fast developed into one of London's major broking houses, and, over the past decade, has continued to expand steadily. To achieve this, we combine in-depth knowledge of the Tanker Broking Market with an in-house training scheme. This combination of experience and youth encourages fresh ideas and results in a service which is both sound and professional. In effect, it also ensures that ACM evolves naturally and competitively in the years ahead. Today, ACM runs a tight ship. We employ fourteen brokers - giving full coverage of the worldwide market - with three highly experienced operational staff, ensuring that all aspects of the business are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and with a high level of professionalism. The quality of our staff has been the key to our success, enabling recent expansion into the Sale and Purchase market and strengthening our long term Charter activities. It has also allowed us, over the past few years, to branch successfully into the highly competitive area of selling and re-financing tankers. The shape of the tanker market has changed dramatically since the inception of ACM and we are ever mindful of additional changes which are likely to take place in our future - and our ability to meet those needs. We would like to think that, despite the Company's continued success over the years, our Philosophy has not changed. We believe that our clients require a high degree of professionalism - but with a personal service too often lacking in a number of larger companies. Our reputation in the market is assured - and we are proud of the fact that ACM is regarded by many as one of the leading tanker broking companies in London.
