The Ocean Sparkle Limited (OSL) was incorporated in 1995. The company is engaged in the activities of operations & management of ports, towage and lighterage. The company owns 12 barges, 2 harbour-towage tugs and 2 ocean-going tugs. The turnover of OSL for FY1999-2000 was Rs. 140.4 million.

Ocean Sparkle Limited formed, in 1995 has been promoted by experienced marine engineers. The Company identified the need for qualitative port management activities in India, and since then, has been lowering it's anchor of efficient port services into more certain grounds. The company started out in the direction towards cargo lighterage and pioneered in replacing the traditional method of lighterage through wooden barges with effective steel ones and metrofitted two tug boats. Efforts like these have helped the Company in making it's presence felt and given adequate exposure to international markets; yielding in alliances with the likes of Wijsmuller of Nederland for Liquified Natural Gas terminal management. The Company owns twelve barges, two harbor-towage tugs and two ocean-going tugs. It has an unblemished record of handling 270 ships and is relentlessly treading towards total understanding of operations and maintenance of port operations. The Company also has an in-house training program for pilots. Keeping in tandem with commercial considerations, quick turn-around of vessels is ensured by good liaison with charterers, owners agents, port, Customs and statutory authorities. While a proven track record is hard to come by in the Indian maritime scenario, OSL is striving to maintain international quality services in the shipping community.
