ANSALDO MOVIMENTAZIONE, holds the most advanced technological know-how in the field of Material Handling, where the first experiences date back in the late Ninenteenth Century, when ANSALDO started to design and manifacture Cranes to support the activities of its own Shipyards and Factories. A long series of realizations followed in the subsequent decades. As significative events, we remind the realization of the "Electrical Cranes" for the Port of Trieste in 1938, and the beginning of manufacturing Containers Handling Cranes in the 1960s. Actually, ANSALDO MOVIMENTAZIONE designs and supplies complete Systems And Equipment for Harbour Handling activities, Jib Cranes for general Cargoes, Double Lever Jib Cranes, Gantry and Goliath Cranes up to 550 tons capacity and Level Luffing Cranes of very high capacity (up to 400 tons) for Shipyards, Grab Unloaders and Stockyard Handling Systems for Bulk Materials, and main Cranes for Steelworks. In the field of Container Handling, ANSALDO MOVIMENTAZIONE is on the market with a long experience in the supply of Quay-Side and Tyre/Rail Mounted Stacking Yard Container Cranes. ANSALDO MOVIMENTAZIONE is therefore in the position to design, engineer and supply its products in compliance with all international standards, from the basic lay-out to the electrical, automation and computerization systems. ANSALDO MOVIMENTAZIONE, besides the qualification by the Italian Manufacturers Register, according to the latest EEC rules, holds the Quality System Certificate "CISQ-ICIM" n° 0116/0 and "CISQ-RINA" n° 74/93 for the standard ISO 9000/EN 29000 series, both endorsed by the "EQ NET", the European Network for Quality System Assessment and Certification.
