Hilding Bidsted founded Bidsted & Co. A/S in Copenhagen on 2nd September 1940. For nearly a decade, the company’s core business was carrying coal for Danish coal traders. In the booming post-war period, the company expanded its activities, primarily servicing Danish coaster and bulk-carrier owners. The company has been instrumental in bringing and refining the Danish shipping market to its present high standard. Today, the company is involved in all areas of dry cargo shipping, including – but not limited to – sale and purchase, commercial ship management, and charter and operation of cargo contracts. Our list of customers worldwide includes Investeringsgruppen Danmark, Korn- og Foderstof-kompagniet (KFK) of Aarhus, First Steamship of Taipei, Shih Wei Navigation of Taipei, Lauritzen, D/S Torm, Pioneer Navigation, D/S Norden, Taiwan Wallem of Tapei, T&E Bulkers, Maersk Bulk and Armada.
