The Open Consultancy Network was formed in 1992 with the intention of building a uniquely flexible framework for delivery of high quality technology solutions and services to ports and terminals. In 2001 OCN launched SPeCS (Smart Port e-Commerce Solutions) a series of applications designed to support ports and terminals in their transition from traditional transportation node to supply chain partner.
Applications in the SPeCS (Smart Port e-Commerce Solutions) portfolio include SPeCS for MARINE (Port vessel tracking, port service provision, dues and pilotage invoicing, tidal monitoring) SPeCS for OPERATIONS - CHS (Cargo Handling System for port imports and exports, warehousing, location management, barcoding, EDI, invoising for discharge, RHD and rent) and SPeCS for OPERATIONS - CTS (real time Container Terminal System for 2D and 3D graphical yard planning and management, supports Radio Data Terminals across RF networks). OCN provides the full range of supporting services (consultancy, implementation, training, support, systems integration etc.)
