About

The company Amplidan A/S was founded in 1946 by two Danish engineers: Steen H. Hasselbalch and Jens Aagaard. In the years to follow, Amplidan engaged very actively in the growing electronic industry. In 1962 the business was taken over by V. Kann Rasmussen Holding A/S. In 1986 Amplidan A/S became a subsidiary company of Søren T. Lyngsø, which later was divided into the Lyngsø Group where Amplidan was a member of Lyngsø Marine A/S. In 1990 a merger of Lyngsø Marine, Valmet Automation and Amplidan produced one of the leading ship automation and communication suppliers in the world, Lyngsø Valmet Marine A/S. Today, Lyngsø Marine A/S is owned by STN ATLAS Elektronik GmbH, Bremen, Germany. In 1997 Amplidan has achieved status as an independent division within the Lyngsø Marine Group. The name Amplidan A/S is today used in line with the name Lyngsø Marine A/S. Amplidan products are operating world-wide within its traditional field of high-quality electronic internal communication equipment. The Products Amplidan Public Address system from the late 50's. The product line includes Talk Back, Public Address, Fog Bell and Gong and Communal Aerial Systems for maritime and off-shore applications. Furthermore, MF Radio Beacons (NDB) for maritime and aeronautical purposes are developed and manufactured to meet internationally rules and regulations. Amplidan A/S has a high quality of know-how based upon many years experience in this line of business.
