About

The EVAC Company today descends directly from the Swedish engineer who invented and developed the vacuum toilet and the vacuum toilet system in 1959. Since the 1960’s, EVAC has supplied vacuum toilet systems wherever water saving toilets and waste collecting systems are needed. Transportation equipment such as passenger ferry vessels, combatant naval vessels (including submarines), naval auxiliary vessels, commercial cargo vessels, ocean cruise liners, railroad passenger cars and locomotives, and commercial passenger airplanes have all been built with EVAC toilets. More than 4,500 ships worldwide have been equipped by EVAC. Likewise, more than 3,500 rail cars and 450 passenger airplanes have EVAC toilets. The EVAC toilet has proven to be the global choice for all types of moving passenger vehicles where sewage must be collected and held and where conventional gravity systems will not work. Through its wholly owned U.S. company, Envirovac Inc., EVAC began marketing vacuum toilets for airplanes in 1986. Airbus, Douglas and Boeing have specified vacuum toilets for their aircraft models. EVAC toilets were selected for the Boeing 747-400 and 767 airplanes. In 1987, McDonnell Douglas selected EVAC to be responsible for the entire vacuum waste system on the MD-11 model aircraft. Again in 1992, EVAC was selected as system supplier for the MD-90 model aircraft, followed in 1996 by the entire vacuum waste system for the MD-95 (later reidentified as the B717). EVAC has also been selected as a standard customer option on Boeing 737X, 757-300, and 777 aircraft. 182,000 Square Feet of Facilities on Three Continents Complete Vacuum Production, Research Development and Testing Quarterly Vacuum Training School for Customer Use On-site Training for Customers Available Upon Request Boeing D1-9000 and Douglas TQST Certified SPEC 2000 Participant ISO 9001 Certified Price Catalog in ATA 200 Tape Format FAA and JAA Certified Repair Station VACUUM SYSTEM EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES As the inventor of many of the basic patents which apply to vacuum technology, EVAC has a unique and unequaled understanding of the problems and the solutions. Developed first commercial application of vacuum technology. Developed the first transportation application for a vacuum system for Swedish Rail in 1968. Developed the first Marine application for a passenger ship in 1972. Developed the first rotating disc flush valve and vacuum toilet for Boeing B767 and B747-400 in 1986 and were awarded U.S. Patent No. 4,713,847 for our flush valve design. Have shipped more vacuum toilets to aviation customers since 1989 than all of our competitors combined. Over 525,000 EVAC vacuum toilets are in daily service today. First vacuum toilet design to achieve a squawk rate of less than 0.1 squawks per 1,000 flight hours on B747. First integrated rinse water control valve design to incorporate the anti-siphon valve and "glide rings" for which we were awarded US Patents 4,811,754 & 5,464,191.
