Production, the spare parts center and R&D are concentrated in Baden, Switzerland. Customers are guaranteed the shortest delivery times by highly automated, flexible manufacturing facilities. Approx. 10 percent of the annual revenues are invested in ongoing improvement of the product lines and in the development of new turbocharger generations. The new Turbocharger Test Center, inaugurated in 1997, is equipped with state of the art test rigs, allowing additional theoretical and experimental investigations that guarantee end-products of the very highest quality, performance and availability. An independently operating company within the ABB Group, ABB Turbo Systems generated worldwide revenues in 1999 of USD 355.2 million.
