The Natvar Parikh Industries Limited (NPIL), a part of Natvar Parikh Group, was incorporated in 1987. The Group was established in 1947 by Late Natvarlal Chotalal Parikh. The other group company is Natvar Parikh & Company Limited. NPIL is engaged in the activities of project & heavy lift transport, shipping & multimodal transport, logistics & distribution services and container handling & transport. The company owns 1 Ro-Ro vessel, 4 tugs, 3 barges, 2 railway wagons of special type, 143 hydraulic axle line and 128 normal trailers. The turnover of NPIL for FY1999-2000 was around Rs. 700 million.

Since 1993, NPIL has been providing quality shipping services to the entire import and export trade to over 2000 destinations served by a network of reliable agents and partners. NPIL's client portfolio comprises of some of India's largest manufacturing and trading houses. NPIL offers total turnkey solutions to shippers by offering a Single window service with a Single Liner document, Single rate and "through liability", using an optimal combination of road, rail and sea. NPIL as a carrier NPIL is the second Indian containerized shipping line, specializing in services from India to worldwide destinations. NPIL has its own fleet of over 1000 containers, comprising of 20', 40' and special equipment to cater to all the needs of today's demanding client. Though NPIL does not own any container vessels, it has comprehensive slot charter arrangements with various ship owners that enable it to load its own containers on various trades from and to India.
