Since 1905, BIMCO has been a leading force in international shipping. Representing shipowners, shipbrokers and agents, P&I Clubs and associate members, BIMCO today has members in 122 countries. Thus BIMCO takes an interest in all issues affecting the international shipping industry.
The International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners represents the interests of owners, operators and managers of dry cargo shipping and works closely with the other international associations to promote a safe, high quality, efficient and profitable industry.
Maine Maritime Academy, a Maine public college founded in 1941, enrolls more than 800 students from more than 35 states and several foreign countries. Internationally respected for its uniformed Regiment of Midshipmen, a student-run leadership training model, the college offers traditional collegiate and uniformed lifestyle options for its students. Military service obligation is voluntary. The college awards A.S., B.S., and M.S. degrees.
