Rederi AB Brevik, Öckerö, grundades år 1952 med Rolf Eliasson, som ledare och delägare. Bolaget bildades för att bedriva sjötransporter av olja samt försäljning av bunkers. Redan 1917 startade Rolfs far, Julius Eliasson, som återförsäljare för Västkustens Petroleum AB (Esso) samt Svensk Engelska Mineralolje AB (Shell) och sålde motorbrännolja och andra oljeprodukter. År 1952 bildade Julius E. ett partrederi och köpte bunkerbåten "Saga", som lastade 21 kbm olja. Under 1934 gjordes det första kontraktet med Svenska Bensin & Petroleum AB (BP), då populärt kallat "Blå Pumpen". Detta utvecklades till ett långvarigt samarbete. År 1936 inköptes tankbåten "Delfin" ca. 26 kbm olja och 6 kbm vatten. Efter krigs- slutet 1945 köpte Rolf del i M/T Margit byggd 1933 på Hälsö. Ett år senare inköptes M/T Långö, som byggdes om och fick en lastkapacitet på 115 kbm. M/T Tankfors ca 200 kbm inköptes 1947 från Holland. Hon förlängdes senare och blev 350 kbm. Samma år som Rederi AB Brevik grundades (år 1952) inköptes från Danmark M/T Bodil som döptes om till "Brevik" ca 350 kbm. År 1953 bildades Rederi AB Öckerötank. Bolaget såldes 1970 efter att ha ägt tankfartyget Ekerö 250 ton, M/T Tankö 400 ton och Tankvik 575 ton. Breviks rederi har under årens lopp varit ägare till över 25 tankfartyg varav flera beställts som nybyggen, bland annat ett från Karlstads varv, 2 från Kållandsö, 2 från Roland Werft i Bremen samt ett från Falkenbergs Varv. Breviks fartyg har alltid sedan starten gått i fraktfart på Nordsjön, Östersjön, Kontinenten samt Vänern. Rederiet är den största transportören av oljor till Vänern.
