RMS is specializing in the operation of shutteltankers, semi-submersible accommodation vessels, floating storage vessels, tankers and bulk carriers. RMS also provides engineering support services within construction and building/rebuilding of vessels. We are providing these services to Rasmussengruppen AS, NAVION ASA and other customers. RMS has a solid background as the former operating arm of the Rasmussen shipping group in Kristiansand, established in 1936, and has developed from a traditional shipping company also to an offshore contractor, with considerable experience from the North Sea environment. Over the years, a large number of ships and semi-submersible platforms of various types have been built, modified and operated by the RMS organisation. The RMS experience is related to all phases of these projects; project management, financing, engineering, site team functions, commissioning, contracting and operation. RMS pioneered the successful technical development of offshore shuttle tankers and the development of the semi-submersible accommodation unit concept (flotels). RMS has been awarded the Quality Prize by the Norwegian Society of Quality Assurance and has several times been assigned Statoil's Safety Award for the operation of shuttle tankers.
