Furetank Rederi AB today own and run four highly modern product / chemicaltankers. The company is owned by the third generation Höglund. Furetank Rederi AB has a long tradition of shippning, with its roots in joint ownerships in the Gothenburg archipelago at the end of the 18th century.
The objective of Furetank Rederi AB is to run a high-level industrial shipping concerning safety, environment, cargo, ships and personel. That's why the company in close co-operation with Søviknes Verft A/S and FKAB Naval Architects has designed and built both ship (M/T Furevik, M/T Furenäs) to high technical and safety standards at Søviknes Verft in Norway
M/T Fure Sun and M/T Fure Star was bought in 2001 on the second-handmarket and buildt at Siong Huat Shipyard, Singapore 1994/1995 after the same principals as M/T Furevik and M/T Furenäs.
Matters of engineering/crewing/finance is handled from the office located on Donsö in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg, Sweden. Chartering is managed by Nordtank Shipping A/S in Holbeck, Denmark.
