Airchime was founded in 1929, at Vancouver, British Columbia, as a proprietorship with its principal emphasis being the manufacture of steam whistles for locomotives, ships, and factories. This was necessitated due to the advent of the diesel locomotive. Airchime was incorporated in 1954. The company’s head office is located at Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Innovative product development and technology can be seen in Airchime’s Model KMJ/KM Series with such features as a self-draining design, low psi requirements resulting in energy efficiency, and cast in lightweight marine grade aluminum that provides excellent corrosion resistance. The KMJ-SC self-contained units are ideal for the new fast ferry designs, casino boats, workboats and small patrol craft where an air supply is not available or desired.
