Non Profit member-owned 501(c)(3) corporation engaged in acquisition, restoration, display, intrepretation, and operation of nautical artifacts. With emphasis on the Age of Sail and the Age of Steam, the museum's mission is to connect current generations with their nautical heritage.
Woodman is the creator of the acclaimed Nathaniel Drinkwater series, which is set against the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars, and, more recently, the William Kite sea novels, which take place during the Seven Years War and carry through the American Revolution.
The author is also a historian with a growing body of maritime and naval history work.
PORT is an Internet gateway of maritime resources at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. The portal is designed for the research purposes of academics, museum staff and researchers, and contains a variety of information on themes such as Shipbuilding, Transport, and Marine engineering. The portal also contains an Events listing for the maritime community of conferences and symposia, and a range of related information services.
