When Captain A.N. Petersen came ashore in 1920 and founded the company bearing his name, he was regarded as a forerunner. His skill and diligence formed the background upon which the company was built and prospered. He was also able to create a unique company spirit, of which we are proud. Captain A.N. Petersen's influence and contribution to the company's success has continued since his death in 1941. We are proud that a number of the people working with A.N. In the early years A.N. Petersen enjoyed a close association with A/S Det Dansk-Franske Dampskibsselskab, as well as being managing owners for several Danish shipping companies. However, like other professions, shipping often and rapidly changes patterns and in 1979 the brokers of the company took over the ownership. A.N.
