Continental Maritime of San Diego is a certified Master Ship Repair Agreement holder with the U.S. Navy, specializing in repairs and alterations of major surface and amphibious vessels including CVN, CG, DDG, LHD, LHA, LSD, LPD, and auxiliary ships.
Manitowoc Marine Group is comprised of four shipyards – Marinette Marine, Bay Shipbuilding, Toledo Ship Repair and Cleveland Ship Repair. The Marine Group is a division of The Manitowoc Company. Although there have been a couple of name changes, The Manitowoc Company, which was founded as a shipbuilding company, has been in continuous operation since 1902. In addition to building hundreds of surface vessels, Manitowoc also built twenty-nine diesel submarines for the U. S. Navy.
