Autolane and HEVO Partner on Automated Wireless Charging for Autonomous Vehicles

By MGN EditorialMarch 3, 2026 at 05:05 PM

Autolane and HEVO announce a partnership to deliver automated wireless charging solutions for autonomous commercial vehicles.

Autolane, a provider of autonomous vehicle technology, and HEVO, a wireless charging solutions company, have announced a new partnership to bring automated wireless charging capabilities to autonomous commercial vehicles. According to the corrected press release from HEVO, the companies will work together to integrate HEVO's wireless charging pads into Autolane's autonomous driving systems. This will allow self-driving delivery vans, trucks, and other commercial vehicles to automatically align and charge without the need for manual plug-in connections. "Wireless charging is a critical enabler for the widespread adoption of autonomous commercial vehicles," said HEVO CEO Jeremy McCool. "Our partnership with Autolane will help accelerate the deployment of self-driving fleets by simplifying the charging process." The announcement notes that the automated wireless charging solution will improve efficiency and reduce downtime for autonomous logistics and delivery operations. Vehicles will be able to charge opportunistically throughout the day without human intervention. "Integrating HEVO's wireless charging technology into our autonomous driving stack is an important step forward," said Autolane CTO Sara Lenz. "This partnership will help our customers unlock the full potential of self-driving commercial vehicles." The companies plan to begin pilot deployments of the automated wireless charging systems later this year, according to the press release.
