NORCROSS, Ga. - CAPE-APTIM JV1 has been awarded a $95 million Small Business Set-Aside Environmental Remedial Action Contract to support installations throughout the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic area of responsibility, according to a press release from PR Newswire. The contract will task the joint venture with providing environmental remediation services for Navy and Marine Corps facilities. This includes site investigations, remedial designs, and implementation of remedial actions to address contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater. 'This contract award demonstrates CAPE and APTIM's continued commitment to supporting the U.S. Department of Defense's environmental restoration programs,' said John Picciuto, President of CAPE Federal. 'We look forward to applying our specialized expertise and proven track record to this important work.' The CAPE-APTIM JV was established to leverage the companies' combined capabilities in environmental remediation, munitions response, and facility services. CAPE is an 8(a) certified small business that has provided engineering, construction, and environmental services to federal agencies for over 25 years.
