Construction firm Clayco has launched a new business unit focused on providing solar and energy storage solutions to support America's energy transition.
In a move to capitalize on the growing demand for renewable energy infrastructure, leading construction firm Clayco has announced the launch of a new Power and Energy division. According to the company's press release, the new unit will expand Clayco's fully integrated delivery model into the rapidly expanding solar and energy storage markets.
'The launch of Power and Energy is a strategic step forward for Clayco as we continue to evolve our service offerings to meet the needs of our clients and support America's energy transition,' said Bob Clark, Clayco's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. 'This new business unit will leverage our deep expertise in design-build construction to deliver innovative solar and energy storage solutions that advance the country's renewable energy goals.'
The Power and Energy division will provide a range of services including project development, engineering, procurement, and construction for utility-scale solar farms, commercial and industrial solar installations, and energy storage systems. Clayco noted that the new unit will work closely with its existing real estate, industrial, and mission-critical facility practices to offer fully integrated solutions.
This move by Clayco reflects the broader trends in the maritime and logistics industries, which are increasingly seeking to decarbonize their operations and supply chains through investments in renewable energy. As ports, terminals, and shipping companies look to reduce their carbon footprints, demand for solar, energy storage, and other clean energy technologies is expected to surge in the coming years.
