CMA CGM Launches New Japan-Europe Container Service

CMA CGM is launching a new direct container service connecting Japan and South China to North Europe, providing faster transit times.

The CMA CGM Group, a global leader in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, has announced the launch of a new weekly container service called Ocean Rise Express (OCR). This new service will provide a direct connection between Japan and South China to North Europe ports. According to the announcement from Hellenic Shipping News, the OCR service 'provides a direct Japan/ South China–North Europe connection with best transit times and enhanced schedule reliability.' This new route is expected to be attractive to shippers seeking faster delivery of goods between the key Asian and European markets. 'The launch of Ocean Rise Express is another example of CMA CGM's commitment to providing our customers with the most efficient and reliable shipping solutions,' said a CMA CGM spokesperson. 'This new service will offer the fastest transit times on the market for this trade lane, helping our customers get their goods to market quicker.' The OCR service is the latest in a series of network enhancements by CMA CGM to optimize its global container shipping operations. The company continues to invest in new vessels, port infrastructure, and digital technologies to meet the evolving needs of its customers worldwide.
