CNTE Launches Liquid-Cooled STAR H-MAX Energy Storage System for Commercial and Industrial Applications
By MGN Editorial•June 23, 2026 at 04:21 PM
Chinese energy technology firm Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy has unveiled its new liquid-cooled STAR H-MAX battery energy storage system at Intersolar Europe 2026, targeting commercial and industrial sectors with expanded storage capabilities.
Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy (CNTE) has officially launched its latest commercial and industrial energy storage system, the liquid-cooled STAR H-MAX, at The Smarter E Europe / Intersolar Europe 2026 exhibition in Munich, according to a PR Newswire release dated 23 June 2026.
The new system expands CNTE's portfolio of battery energy storage solutions (BESS) aimed at commercial and industrial end-users, a segment that has seen growing demand as industries seek to reduce grid dependency, manage energy costs, and support decarbonisation targets.
Liquid cooling technology is increasingly favoured in high-capacity energy storage deployments due to its superior thermal management capabilities compared to air-cooled alternatives. More effective heat dissipation allows for higher energy density configurations, extended battery cycle life, and improved operational safety — factors of particular relevance to energy-intensive industrial environments.
While CNTE's announcement was made in the context of the broader commercial and industrial energy market, the development carries relevance for the maritime sector, where shore-side energy storage infrastructure is playing an increasingly important role. Cold ironing facilities — which supply shoreside power to vessels at berth, enabling ships to shut down auxiliary engines and reduce port emissions — rely on robust energy storage and grid management solutions of precisely this type. Port operators and terminal developers investing in electrification infrastructure are among the potential end-users for systems such as the STAR H-MAX.
The unveiling at Intersolar Europe 2026, one of the world's leading solar and energy storage trade events, signals CNTE's intent to expand its international commercial footprint. The company is part of a growing cohort of Chinese energy storage manufacturers seeking to establish a stronger presence in European markets amid accelerating demand driven by the EU's energy transition policies.
Further technical specifications and commercial availability details for the STAR H-MAX are expected to be released by CNTE in the coming weeks.
