In a landmark move for environmental conservation, Cox Enterprises has donated a 20,000-acre conservation easement on its Clarendon Farms property in South Carolina, one of the most significant such agreements ever recorded in the United States. The donation, which was announced by Ducks Unlimited, will permanently protect critical coastal wetlands, forests, and wildlife habitats in the Beaufort region. By forgoing the potential for lucrative development, Cox Enterprises has underscored the importance of preserving sensitive ecosystems along the Atlantic seaboard.
