The New Terminal One at JFK Airport in New York announces a strategic partnership with Ethiopian Airlines to support the carrier's operations in the region.
The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York has announced a strategic partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, the flag carrier of Ethiopia and a member of Star Alliance.
According to the press release, Ethiopian will join the New Terminal One as a key airline partner, occupying premium gate and lounge spaces within the new state-of-the-art facility. The partnership aims to enhance the passenger experience for Ethiopian's customers traveling through JFK.
'We are thrilled to welcome Ethiopian Airlines as a key partner in the New Terminal One,' said the terminal's CEO. 'As one of Africa's leading airlines, this partnership will provide their customers with a world-class travel experience and strengthen JFK's position as a premier international gateway.'
The New Terminal One at JFK is a $9.5 billion redevelopment project that will replace the existing Terminal 1. The new facility is designed to offer enhanced amenities, improved operational efficiency, and a heightened sense of place for passengers. Construction is expected to be completed by 2026.
